- By cheque, giro, bank draft or by direct transfer, to be cleared into the school’s bank account by the first day of each term. Parents may make lump sum payments for a year or more in advance if they wish. Further details are available from the Bursary.
Registration Fee
A non-refundable charge of £50.00 is payable on registration.
Deposit
On acceptance of a definite place at the school, a deposit of £500 is required. This is non-returnable but will be offset against the pupil’s final term’s invoice.
The Governors reserve the right to increase fees without prior notice, although every effort is made to give a term’s warning.
Visits
If, after reading the prospectus, you wish to visit the school, please contact the Registrar. Direct Dial 020 8766 5525. Tours of the school for small groups of prospective parents take place regularly.
Entry
- Normal entry points into the school are at three, four, five, seven and eight years old. There are occasional vacancies in other year groups.
- Parents are advised to register their child as soon as possible by the payment of a registration fee.
- In the year prior to entry, you will be contacted to confirm that you still wish to continue with your child’s application. You will be invited to visit the school and advised of the assessment procedures. Children applying to the Nursery and Annexe are seen individually and undertake a short (30 minutes - an hour) interview. Children applying to the Lower School are assessed in groups of two or three. The test takes about one and a half hours.
- Children seeking one of the occasional vacancies will be interviewed when appropriate.
- Places will be offered during the spring term.
Leaving
A term’s notice in writing to the Headmaster is required if you wish to withdraw your son from the school. In the absence of a term’s notice, you will be billed for one term’s fees in lieu.
The Headmaster may, at his absolute discretion, require the removal of a boy without a term’s notice if he thinks that circumstances warrant it. In this event no claim shall arise for the remission or return of any portion of the fees payable for that term.
Open Days
All four sections of the school have their own Open Days:
The Nursery - June
The Annexe - May
The Lower and Upper School - December
These are always held on a Saturday to enable as many people as possible to attend.
Music
Individual music tuition is charged termly by the individual teachers at a rate of £17.50 per lesson. There are usually 30 lessons per year. Some school instruments may be hired by arrangement with the Music Department.
Extras
Extras are charged termly in arrears and cover a range of issues from breaktime "Healthy Snacks" provided at cost, through fees for some clubs, to more significant items such as the cost of non-curricular holiday trips.
