Boarding
Up to twenty eight mainly Upper School weekly boarders stay at our Brightlands boarding house, with most pupils collected after prep on Friday and returning Sunday evening. Brightlands is run by the housemaster, his wife, an assistant housemaster and four other members of staff.
Life at Brightlands offers the feeling of an extended family, with the boys learning to live together in an effective community.
Academic progress is monitored and guided by the staff members, and boarders are encouraged to take part in clubs and other after-hours activities.
We also offer flexi-boarding for Years three to six, where boys are collected from school at 4.00pm or 5.00pm after clubs, do prep, have supper, supervised play and breakfast and are then returned to school in the morning, an arrangement particularly suitable for children involved in after-school commitments such as one of the school orchestras.
