Our Aims

“Play is a child’s work and the means whereby he/she grows and develops.” Susan Isaacs

We aim, therefore:

To provide a caring and stimulating environment which will enable each child to reach his/her full potential.

To provide a structured day filled with purposeful activities to encourage the development of social, intellectual, physical and creative skills.

To encourage independence, confidence, self-motivation, initiative, a positive attitude to learning, self-respect, consideration and tolerance for others and an awareness of the environment.

To promote numeracy, language and literacy skills using a variety of methods.

To work in partnership with the parents in order to make each child’s school life happy and secure.

To lay a solid and broad-based foundation for each child’s further school education.

To prepare children for “lifetime learning”.
