Reports and Parents Consultation Evenings

We feedback to parents on a pupils performance in a number of formal and informal ways. The value the relationship between the staff and parents is recognised. Early, one to one, communication is a vital part of the reporting process and, although the formal reporting schedule fully comprehensive, parents are urged to make an appointment to discuss their child's progress at any time during the year should they feel the need.

The formal reporting structure is set out below.

Years 1&2

Written reports are sent out at the end of the autumn and summer terms. The autumn term report is based on English and Mathematics with a general comment. The summer report covers all subjects.
In the autumn term two formal evenings are arranged when parents are invited to make an appointment to discuss their son’s progress with the class teacher and other members of staff.

Years 3&4
Parents are invited to a consultation evening in the second half of the autumn term to discuss your son’s progress with the form teacher and other members of staff. A short report is sent out just after half term in the autumn term. Two further written reports follow; one early in the spring term and one at the end of the summer term.
