The Annexe Curriculum
We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum to the boys in Years 1 and 2. The teaching methods vary according to the needs of the children. Each boy is given the help he requires to achieve fluency in reading and a good grasp of oral and written English and mathematical skills. Science, geography, history, music, PE, art and craft, ICT and DT are integrated into the day and play an important role in the boys’ development.
The majority of the teaching and learning takes place in the boys' own classroom and is delivered by the regular class teacher. PE, Games, Swimming, Music and ICT are taught by specialist and make use of the excellent facilities available to pupils throughout DCPS.
